Web browser push notifications
What it is
Web browser push notifications extend the OneStock Store App with real‑time alerts displayed directly in the browser, even when the Store App tab is not active. This uses OneSignal, a market‑leading Customer Engagement Platform, as the bridge between OneStock events and store associate devices.
Why it matters
Reduce missed order alerts when the Store App is not open
Help store teams respect SLA by reacting immediately to new or urgent orders
Improve customer satisfaction thanks to faster in‑store operations
Proven in production (already used by Longchamp)
How it works (high level)
When a store associate accesses the Store App, their device is automatically linked to a unique endpoint.
When OneStock detects relevant events (for example, a new order to claim), a push notification is sent to matching endpoints.
Notifications can optionally deep‑link to a specific page in the Store App (e.g. claim screen) to accelerate action.
Language is automatically selected based on the device; English is always available as default.
