Store Notifications & Alerts

Store Notifications & Alerts

In a busy store environment, missed fulfilment tasks directly impact customer experience — a late ship-from-store shipment, an uncollected click & collect order, or a preparation queue silently growing. OneStock provides two complementary solutions to make sure store teams are always aware of pending actions and can react in time.

Push Notifications

Push notifications are the primary alerting mechanism, built directly into the Store App. Powered by OneSignal, they deliver real-time pop-ups to any device running a compatible browser — smartphones, tablets, Zebra handhelds, or desktops. Associates receive alerts wherever they are on the shop floor, with no additional software to install.

To activate web browser push notifications on your environment, please contact your usual OneStock point of contact (CSM or Project Manager). Activation is handled as part of a commercial and technical enablement package.

Best for: mobile-first stores where associates carry devices throughout the day.

Web browser push notifications

OneStock Alerter

The OneStock Alerter complements push notifications for stores that also rely on fixed Windows PCs — POS terminals, back-office desktops, or shared workstations. It runs as a native background process, independent of any browser, and displays a persistent counter widget with live task counts (claim, pack, dispatch…).

Because it doesn't depend on a browser session, the Alerter fills gaps that push notifications can't cover on stationary machines: no token expiry, no risk of a closed tab silently stopping alerts, and no third-party service dependency.

Best for: stores with fixed POS or back-office PCs where a browser tab can't be guaranteed to stay open.
