FAQ

Possible causes:

  • Your credentials are incorrect or expired. Please contact your OneStock representative

  • Your MCP client is pointing to the wrong server URL. Verify the URL with your administrator.

This is not a sign-in failure, it means authentication succeeded, but your permissions are limited:

  • You may not be linked to a site yet. An administrator must assign you to a site through the Admin UI before the server can give you access to anything.

  • Your toolbox may be restricted. The administrator controls which tools are available to you. If you need access to additional tools, request it from your administrator.

  • Your toolbox may not be configured at all. If you are a brand new user, the administrator may not have set up your permissions yet.

This happens when the identity provider accepts your credentials, but the MCP server has no record of you:

  • You exist in the identity provider but have never been registered in the MCP system. An administrator must create your user entry and link it to a site.

  • There is an email mismatch: the email in your identity token does not match what is configured in the MCP system. Contact your administrator to verify alignment.

The tools you see are controlled by your toolbox, which is configured by an administrator. If you need access to a tool that does not appear in your list:

  1. Identify the name or purpose of the tool you need.

  2. Contact your MCP administrator and request that it be added to your toolbox.

  3. Once the administrator updates your configuration, the tool will appear on your next session (you may need to reconnect).
