Introduction to payment connector

Our Order In Store application can be connected to several Payment Service Providers (PSPs) to take payments in store and manage the full payment lifecycle, including deferred settlement.

PCI DSS scope

Our payment connectors act solely as integrations to external PSPs and do not themselves process, transmit, or store cardholder data within OneStock. As such, the connectors are not in scope for PCI DSS certification; PCI responsibilities remain with the merchant and the selected PSP/PSPs.

At a high level, our payment connectors allow you to:

  • Take payment in Order In Store
The amount of the order is automatically sent to the PSP from the Order In Store interface. Depending on the configuration and the PSP, this can trigger:

    • Direct Capture + Settlement (authorization and capture in one combo call)

    • Deferred settlement (authorize at order time, capture when items are dispatched)

    • In‑person payment on a PED (payment terminal)

    • SoftPOS / Tap to Pay (when supported)

    • Pay by link for remote payment : our Order In Store displays a QR Code to be scanned, customer pays on their phone and/or a payment link is sent by email / sms.

  • Manage the payment lifecycle with deferred settlement
You can use our payment connector as an extra POS in store for queue busting during peak periods, which in this case will take a direct capture + settlement with the PSP.
The power of the solution is for endless aisle though. Take orders for your client to be delivered at home or click and collect for stock not available in store, the payment is authorized, and settled when the goods are shipped or handed over. This:

    • Aligns payment with the real logistics lifecycle

    • Simplifies partial shipments and partial settlements (when supported by the PSP)

    • Reduces manual refunds and adjustments

Settle/Refund for web orders

You can configure a web sales channel with the PSP connector and enrich your order data with transaction information so that settlements and refunds are handled by OneStock when items are dispatched, cancelled or returned.

Tokenization - Re-authorize

Will allow OneStock to re-authorize payments before they reach their expiration date in order to minimize financial risk and be compliant with legislations (USA for example) that requires merchant to settle payments only when items are dispatched.
